DEKORLİF
Dekorlif is hard fibrous panel, of which one or two face(s) is covered by decorative melamine papers. It has very wide areas of
use and can be produced in thicknesses of 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 8 and 10 mm in various dimensions and decorations. The panels are
being produced with a special technique and have very high resistance values.
Dekorlif has advantages over the other covering panels like MDFlam, melamine faced chipboard, such as its high resistance
values and easiness in giving dimensions. The characteristic features of dekorlif are as follows:
Dekorlif complies with sanitary regulations since it does not contain any kind of resins such as glues, etc.
It is produced in various dimensions and therefore can be used without any wastage. Compared to its equivalents, it is
cheaper and used conveniently. Its values of water absorption and swelling are rather low. Its surface texture is very strong. It
has high resistance against high temperature and retards burning. It is highly hygienic. Its surface abrasion values are rather
higher compared to its equivalents. It has resistance against chemicals. The surface of dekorlif is resistant to cigarette light. It
can easily be cleaned and can be produced in various shapes and decorations.
USAGE AREAS OF GENTALIF
The types of dekorlifs used for the interior decorations of the vehicles for short and long-distance travels are being produced
with high resistance compared to the dekorlifs to be used for other purposes. Special phenolic papers which are also good for
retarding the burning rate are being used for this purpose in order to increase the resistance to blows, which decreases the
occurrence probability of undesired events.
The panels have received the TÜV 95-28 Certification and hence have proved its high standards in internationally accepted
norms. This certification defines the resistance and behavior of the material against burning. The panels have been certified to
be used in vehicles in European Community by receiving this certification in September 2002.
GETALIF
Getalif, which is a fibrous panel manufactured in wet system, is the most preferred material in Turkey and in the world due to
its special features such as being easily-treatable, being deforming less and its low price among the other wood-based panel
materials.
G.B.S., which is known as one of the prestigious companies in the world, is a fibrous panel manufacturing center having deep
roots.
Getalif can be produced in the following dimensions: Thickness, 2.5 to 5.0 mm, width, as 122, 125 and 130 cm, length, 183,
250, 275 and 300 cm. The density of the material is in between 900 - 1100 kg/m 3. On demands, production at special
dimensions can be possible.
Getalif can be produced in two different style (in plain and wood patterns). The fibrous panels having wood patterns are
specially preferred for their textural good-looking and easy application in decorations and in manufacture of doors. Besides,
the perforated fibrous panels made from plain panels are highly fashionable for suspended ceiling and studio decorations
with 8 different geometric patterns. Another area of use for perforated panels is the acoustic applications as buffering material.
Especially in European countries an in Turkey recently, use of perforated getalifs as laminate floor coating which provides
acoustic absorption is highly increasing.
Glue is not used in production of getalif. For this reason, it has no negative effect on human health and this feature of the
material makes it preferred for many applications. Especially, the inexistence of resin containing formaldehyde is very
significant.
However, upon special request, 1% phenolic resin can be used in concentration. Use of resin during production after the
manufacturing with phenol is finished, will be out of question.
